We guarantee your privacy

Everyone has the right to privacy. We therefore do everything we can to guarantee your privacy. Naturally, we comply with the applicable legal obligations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This privacy policy applies to all personal data that Ecclesia processes (fully or partially automated) in the context of its services.

Purposes and legal basis for processing

Ecclesia processes your data for the purpose of its services if this:

  1. is necessary for the performance of an agreement and the resulting legitimate interest;
  2. is necessary for compliance with legal obligations, including those under the WWFT;
  3. is necessary to enable the performance of your employees’ employment contracts;
  4. based on your consent for marketing purposes is necessary.

When you contact Ecclesia (by telephone), there is a legitimate interest in processing your data. The purpose of this processing is to be able to serve you well.

In order to optimize the accessibility of the Ecclesia websites, cookies are used on the website. A cookie is a small file that is temporarily stored locally by your browser. Read our cookiestatement here.

Your data will only be processed in accordance with this privacy policy, so only for specific, explicitly described and justified purposes.

Provision to third parties

If Ecclesia outsources certain processing to subcontractors, Ecclesia makes agreements with these parties to ensure that they also handle the personal data with care.

Processing your data in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA)

Ecclesia will, in principle, not pass on your data to a company in a country outside the EEA unless adequate measures have been taken.

Duties and responsibilities

Ecclesia is responsible for handling your personal data carefully and confidentially and has the obligation to protect your personal data against unauthorized access or unlawful use.

How do we ensure that your data is properly secured?

We apply an information security policy in which the current state of the art is always taken into account when determining the measures. In addition to technical security measures such as encrypting personal data and (two-factor) access controls on (computer) systems, Ecclesia uses data classification, employees have a duty of confidentiality and access to personal data is only given to employees who are authorized to do so. Access to personal data is therefore on a ‘need to know’ basis.

How long do we store your data?

We do not store your data for longer than is necessary for the proper performance of our services. How long certain data is stored depends on the nature of the data, the purpose for which it was processed and legislation and regulations. The data is not stored for longer than 7 years after termination of the service.

Reporting data leaks

If it unexpectedly turns out that, despite the precautions taken, something has gone wrong with the protection of your personal data, we will report this to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. If the breach of your personal data may have unfavorable or adverse consequences for you, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. We have an internal procedure for handling such incidents.

Please report this via this form. In order to be able to resolve your report as quickly as possible, we ask you to provide as complete a description as possible.

What are your rights?

By means of this privacy policy, Ecclesia informs you for which purposes personal data can be processed. In addition to this right to information, you have other legally determined rights. For example, under conditions as determined by law, you have the right to inspect your personal data, the right to rectification, the right to data exchange, the right to limit processing, the right to data portability and the right to object.
